Easy Stretch Skirt

Apr 20, 2018
1 min read

Nice and easy skirt for any occasion, dress it up or down, print or plain

Using any weight of stretch jersey or ponti

Measure your hips with a tape measure

(you don't need to look at the numbers 🙀)

Cut 1 piece of fabric hip measurement plus a 1cm seam allowance with the most stretch going across then the length you would like.

Join 1 seam (centre back) with overlocker or machine. Fold over top and insert elastic, then hem. Make a circular skarf with leftover 😀

There are lots of ways you can finish the hem or attach the elastic.

The beauty of the jersey knits are they don't fray! Do watch your tension so the thread doesn't snap. Happy Sewing 😏
